The Korman family is living apart in two countries. Anja’s mother moved to Germany, Anja stayed in Ukraine with her grandparents. All these years, a smartphone was bridging the family together – with every day calls, especially during celebrations. It changes when Russia unleashes a full-scale war on Ukraine and Anja is forced to leave the country due to a massive missile bombardments, while her grandparents decide to stay at home. Once in a safe place in Germany, Anja feels that zoom calls are not enough and she is pondering whether she should return home, despite the danger.
